Challenges
In our incubator program girls will explore all three of the challenge subject areas and receive mentoring on their projects from experts in the field, have important discussions with girls from around the globe about urgent issues, and brainstorm change making ideas through our several workshops. At the end of the 3rd week of our program participants will have acquired all the skills and guidance needed to perfect their projects . During the last week of the program there will be no virtual workshops or meetings, it will be a submission period for their projects. The top 4 teams/individuals from each challenge category will qualify to our national conference(sometime in the winter ), where participants can potentially win cash prizes!
1)Writing Challenge: Compose a Creative Writing / Personal narrative (max word limit 500 for submissions) - Must Illustrate a personal conflict or an important issue you see in society using creative or personal narrative writing
Also required at least a 2-3 minute speech about how to solve the issue illustrated in the literary work
2) Entrepreneurship Challenge: Develop your own company idea(can be nonprofit)
-Create a business plan, marketing strategy, website , and submit an investor pitch (Atleast 3 minutes Long)
3) STEM Challenge: Use science, coding/programming ,or any technological skills to solve an important problem or make life easier for someone.(ex: create app, website ,technological device,e.t.c)
-Presentation about project ( At Least 3 minutes)
-Challenge similar to hackathon/science fair style
Overall Theme : Make A difference, come up with impactful solutions to problems!
