Who We Are
A GLOBAL Movement
We started out as a couple of girls from San Ramon who were Girl Up members, passionate about gender equality. We wanted to empower girls and provide more opportunities for them to get exposed to subjects that women are known to be historically under-represented in.

Through the GirlUp platform we were able to get several girl leaders from different parts of the world to join our team and help execute our programs. Now we are all working together to help girls all over the world unlock their full potential, by giving them the leverage to pursue their passions and make a difference in the world through our programs.

Girl Up helps girls access their inner power to advance the skills, rights, and opportunities of girls everywhere. Girl Up has impacted 65,000 girls through 3,500 Clubs in nearly 120 countries and all 50 U.S. states. They are inspiring a generation of girls to be a force for gender equality and social change.

Our Mission
To empower girls to take on leadership roles and pursue their passions no matter how many barriers or obstacles they may face. We strive to help girls conquer their anxiety, explore different subjects areas, and find their passion.

We are committed to helping girls realize that they are capable of achieving anything and have the power to change the world. Through our programs we hope to make girls feel more confident and motivate them to make a change in their communities.
